Research Chair of Pervasive and Mobile Computing

Vision:

Pioneering computer science research using pervasive and mobile computing at the regional level and competing with the most important global research centers in this field.

 

Mission

Providing the necessary support and tools for researchers to sponsor distinctive research projects in the field of ambient and mobile computing.

 

Objectives:

  1. Provide support for peripheral and mobile computing research for healthcare.
  2. Encouraging and advancing ambient computing research in the Kingdom in particular and the region in general.
  3. Contributing to the transfer and application of science and knowledge related to ambient computing for health care on the ground in the Kingdom.
  4. Investing in chair research products by establishing companies in the field of ambient computing for healthcare purposes.
  5. Contributing to the qualification and preparation of national cadres specialized in environmental computing sciences and their applications in the health field.
  6. Holding or participating in public events such as local and international conferences and workshops concerned with ambient computing and its use in health care.
  7. Holding public meetings for interested individuals or organizations in the field of ambient computing to discuss hot topics and encourage individuals and organizations of business networks to transfer knowledge and experiences in the same field.
  8. Making the research chair a competitive and reliable center in ambient computing and its applications in healthcare.
  9. Create an appropriate environment to attract, absorb and retain distinguished researchers and individuals in the field of environmental computing sciences
