Vice-dean Message

On behalf of myself and the staff members in the Vice Deanship for Female Students Affairs, it is with great pleasure that I welcome your visit to our webpage. We wish that you would find here the information that you need about the college: its educational, research, and social activities.

We all feel proud of belonging to this pioneering college in its field for Saudi women. It is considered one of the first colleges in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that opened horizons for Saudi women in the world of computing and information technology. KSU has indeed taken this great initiative, for which it received the honor of leadership and excellence, and contributed to achieving national and developmental goals on the prospect of Saudi women.

The Vice Deanship for Female Students Affairs during its long journey, for more than two decades and until now, has succeeded in graduating qualified female citizens, both professionally and scientifically, in all branches of the field of computing. The vast majority of female citizens who are specialists in the computing field and working in academia or governmental technical sectors are graduates of the college, something that stands as a historical witness for the procession of this college.

This success could not last and will not continue without the overall interest of King Saud university and the college itself in the development of its educational programs, in order to keep pace with the rapid changes in this area, both scientifically and in line with the national developmental plans and the needs of the labor market.

The college’s keenness to achieve quality and the application of international standards is evident in its obtaining the academic accreditation of Engineering and Technology Sciences (ABET) for all its undergraduate programs.

The college with its various programs offers students a unique opportunity to become qualified with all that is new in the field of computing and information technology. It also provides them with the right environment for blending with competent and experienced people in the field, and to engage effectively in scientific research in this specialty. This in turn will help in building an educated, informed generation that contributes to achieving the kingdom national vision, which puts women among its most important priorities.

Finally, I invite you to wander around on the page of the Vice Deanship for Female Students Affairs to get more information, since its uniqueness and successes are difficult to be summed up in just few words here.
