Public Relations and Media Unit
Introduction
The Public Relations and Media Unit at the College of Computer Science and Information is a unit associated with the dean of the college.
This unit serves as the primary official entity for the college's communication with both internal and external audiences.
It provides a range of services related to introducing the college's objectives, policies, various activities, outcomes, and
highlighting its educational and academic identity in the required manner. Additionally, it aims to enhance the college's
public perception, strengthen and support the relationship between the college, its staff, students, and the external community,
establish positive concepts about it, and showcase its achievements to boost its reputation and solidify its relationships with various stakeholders.
Unit's Message
Our unit aims to provide an effective framework for coordinating all internal and external communications,
as well as establishing and building the institutional reputation while maintaining it with stakeholders and the
target community within and outside the university, across its various categories and segments.
Key Responsibilities of the Unit:
- Managing the Digital Strategic Partnerships Program, which involves developing agreements and memoranda of understanding with companies and technology sectors for the benefit of the college's students, faculty, and staff.
- Activating and managing institutional communication tasks, including:
- Managing various activities, programs, and initiatives and handling internal, external, and community communication.
- Managing the college's institutional identity and monitoring its various applications.
- Managing institutional communication with the college's target community to inform them about college updates, news, activities, events, and occasions.
- Engaging with the external community to inform them about college updates, activities, events, and relevant occasions.
- Monitoring the college's media relations with various media outlets (print, radio, television), serving as the official and primary source for disseminating college news and creating its media content using various media formats and mechanisms. Communicating with various local media outlets and monitoring all mentions of the college in different media sources.
- Welcoming visitors to the college and providing informational materials about the college and its facilities.
