The Development and Quality Unit reports to the Agency for Development and Quality at the college and is headed by Dr. Naela Saleh Al-Huson. The unit aims to elevate the quality of the college's programs and strives for continuous improvement by monitoring the implementation of quality standards and accreditation requirements.

Vision:

To be a leading unit in the development of the educational process and the enhancement of quality in the College of Computer and Information Sciences.

Mission:

To enhance performance in various units of the college to achieve academic leadership at the local and international levels. This includes monitoring the implementation of development plans and strategies, promoting a culture of quality, and applying its standards through active participation and support for administrative and academic units within the College of Computer and Information Sciences.

Objectives:

1. Disseminating a culture of quality within the college through organizing conferences, seminars, lectures, workshops, and other activities.
2. Working on the implementation and monitoring of academic evaluation and accreditation for all academic programs at the college.
3. Contributing to the development and improvement of academic and administrative work at the college in accordance with local and international standards.
4. Identifying areas for possible improvement and proposing projects to achieve them.
5. Collecting data and information continuously on development and quality improvement activities at the college.
6. Fostering initiative among college staff to provide suggestions that enhance performance at the college.

Key tasks and activities:

1. Promoting the concept of quality and disseminating its culture throughout the college.
2. Monitoring the implementation of the quality program at the college.
3. Monitoring the updating of development and strategic plans for the college.
4. Identifying difficulties and problems faced by development and quality programs and proposing solutions.
5. Preparing readiness reports for the college and submitting necessary reports for management follow-up.
6. Monitoring academic departments regarding national accreditation for undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
7. Monitoring academic departments regarding the maintenance of international accreditation (ABET).
8. Providing logistical support for local and international academic accreditation of college programs.
9. Contributing to report preparation and data collection as required by various university entities.
