Transfer Terms

Conditions for transferring to computer and information sciences

Transfers to the College of Computer and Information Sciences are accepted from colleges that follow the scientific track, colleges that follow the health track, the College of
Nursing, and the College of Business Administration

 

  • Applications to join the following conditions are processed by differentiation according to the seats in the section to be transferred to.

  • Conditions for transfer to the College of Computer and Information Sciences (for male and female students):

 

  1. Completion of one semester (at least 12 credits) after the first joint year.

  2. Have a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.5.

  3. To achieve the compound percentage on which the last allocation stage depended in the section to which the transfer is required, so that the compound percentage is calculated after the end of marking the grades in the current semester according to the following:

Where the cumulative average for all mathematics, statistics and physics courses that the student has studied (including those he studied in the first common year) is calculated as follows

Procedures for transferring to the college

  1. Submit a transfer request in the electronic system during the transfer period announced by the Deanship of Admission and Registration. Paper applications are not accepted

  2. Transfer requests are processed at the end of the semester.

  3. The fulfillment of the conditions does not mean that the transfer request will be accepted automatically, but the transfer is made only according to the available seats in each section.

  4. The student is responsible for requesting the equivalence of identical courses, if any, between the two majors, and he/she must follow up the request with the department concerned with the course.


Conditions for transferring between departments of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences

Transferring between departments is done by differentiation among students over the available seats in the required department after fulfilling the following conditions

  1. The student must pass two semesters in the current department.

  • Note: Transfer between college departments is not accepted for new students who have been allocated in the college or who have been transferred to the college in the previous semester except after passing two semesters.

  1. To achieve the compound percentage on which the last allocation payment in the section to be transferred depended, so that the compound percentage is calculated after the end of the monitoring of grades in the current semester according to the following.

  • Note: The number of specialization hours is calculated by subtracting 32 from the total number of hours passed in the academic record, and the maximum value of seniority is calculated when 40 or more hours are passed in the current specialization:

Transfer procedures between college departments:
