The Skills Development Unit

 

Introduction

The Skills Development Unit is the link between the College of Computer and Information Sciences and the Deanship of Skills Development; its coordinating role aims to facilitate the provision of services form the Deanship to the College, including the request to hold developmental or specialized training courses based on studying the training need of the college. The unit also takes the initiative in coordinating some internal courses in the event that they are not available from the Deanship. The unit targets all employees, faculty and technicians, as well as, students. The Skills Development Unit was developed to meet the increasing overall need to develop administrative, educational and student skills.

 

The Message

To Be A Pioneering And Distinguished Edifice That Provides Complete Services Necessary To Develop The Skills Of All College Members Including Faculty, Students, Academic And Administrative Leaderships, Administrators And Technicians.

 

Vision:

Developing the skills of faculty members, lecturers, teaching assistants, students, academic and administrative leaders and all employees of the college, including administrators and technicians, to ensure the highest levels of progress, distinction and creativity.

 

Objectives:

Study current program plans and suggest appropriate training courses.Studying the college’s training needs, developing plans for that, and following up on their implementation Coordination with female faculty members to integrate training courses into academic courses.Raise the training needs to the Deanship. Announcing training courses and registering students. Supervising the course of training courses held at the college. Announcing the events and courses offered at the university level. Nominating female faculty members to participate in the programs offered by the Deanship.Nominating distinguished faculty members and graduates to offer training courses.Solving any electronic difficulties that the beneficiaries may face with the programs and activities run by the Deanship of Skills Development.
